FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How do I choose the right ink?

Choose Water-Based Ink for dry, porous materials like cartons, cardboard, kraft paper, paper bags, untreated wood, and some fabrics. It is not waterproof.

Choose Fast-Drying Solvent Ink for plastic, metal, glass, film, coated labels, glossy packaging, or when you need better adhesion and water resistance.

Choose Specialty Ink for egg coding, hidden marks, UV-readable marks, or security marking.

Is water-based ink waterproof?

No. Water-based ink is not waterproof. It may smear, fade, or wash off when exposed to water or moisture. For wet environments, outdoor use, glossy surfaces, plastic, metal, or glass, choose Fast-Drying Solvent Ink instead.

What is fast-drying solvent ink best for?

Fast-Drying Solvent Ink is best for non-porous or coated surfaces, including plastic bags, bottles, metal parts, glass, film, coated labels, and glossy packaging. It dries quickly and gives better adhesion than water-based ink on smooth surfaces.

What is the difference between 0.5-inch and 1-inch cartridges?

Choose 0.5-inch cartridges for smaller text, dates, batch codes, QR codes, and barcodes. Choose 1-inch cartridges for larger logos, bigger text, and more visible marks on cartons, packaging, or industrial products.

How should I store the ink cartridge?

Keep the nozzle capped when not in use, and store the cartridge in a clean, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. If the print becomes light or broken, gently clean the nozzle and run a test print before printing on products.
